CPCB Extends EPR Annual Return Filing Deadline to 30 November 2025

Summary: The Central Pollution Control Board has extended the deadline for filing annual returns by PIBOs and PWPs under the Extended Producer Responsibility compliance framework to 30 November 2025.
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has issued a notification extending the deadline for filing Annual Returns under the E-Waste (Management) Rules and Plastic Waste Management Rules for the financial year 2024-25. The extended deadline is now 30 November 2025. The extension applies to: • Producers, Importers, and Brand Owners (PIBOs) of e-waste • Plastic waste producers, importers, and brand owners • Plastic Waste Processors (PWPs) • Battery manufacturers and importers Important Notes for Complying Entities: • All EPR compliance targets for FY 2024-25 must still be met • Documentation supporting EPR certificate procurement must be maintained • Non-filing after the extended deadline will invite penalties under the respective Rules FGMS Reminder: If your organization has not yet filed its EPR Annual Return or is still in the process of procuring EPR certificates from authorised recyclers, please reach out to FGMS immediately.
