LICENCE/CERTIFICATION
SASO (Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization) certification is a mandatory conformity requirement for a wide range of products exported to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. All regulated products must be registered on the SABER (Saudi Product Safety Program) electronic platform and must carry a valid Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC) and a Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SCoC) before clearing Saudi customs.Products are evaluated against applicable Saudi Standards (SS) or internationally harmonised standards accepted by SASO. Testing must be performed at a SASO-approved accredited laboratory. Following successful testing, an approved Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) issues the PCoC, which is valid for one year. Each individual shipment additionally requires an SCoC, issued by the CAB or an approved inspection body.Indian exporters must work with a SASO-approved CAB to register products on the SABER portal.
